We are Wildeboer!

The answer to the question of who we are is as complex as it is simple: we are Wildeboer. It means that we are a family business and that we think and act as such. It is the identification of our employees, whose extraordinary commitment ensures the success of the company. And the typical East Frisian name Wildeboer refers to our modest and proud North German origins.

By the way: Here in Weener we say Wildebuuuhr!

WHERE WE COME FROM

Our history

It's a classic (yet far from boring success story of a German medium-sized business. Founded in 1939 as a small craft business, Wildeboer has evolved and specialized to become a leading company in the field of building elements for fire protection and air conditioning.

1939

Johann Wildeboer founded the company as a craftsman's workshop.

1954

From 1954, the company also engaged in civil engineering, producing, among other things, house connections for regional water supply associations.

1964

Relocation to Marker Weg 11 in Weener, the current company headquarters.

1976

In the mid-1970s, the company obtained approval for a fire damper, becoming one of the first manufacturers in Germany.

Until 1980

Until the 1980s, the company planned and installed ventilation systems.

1989

Completion of new production halls C1-C5 and D.

1993 & 1994

Opening of sales branches in Leipzig and Ulm.

2002

Commencement of new FK90 production in new production facilities.

2011

Opening of the new Research & Development Center.

2012

Commissioning of the new fire test furnace as one of the largest in Europe.

2014

Expansion of the production area by an additional 13,000 square meters.

2016

The FR90-Wood Fire Damper is awarded "Product of the Year 2016" in the category "Technical fire protection" at the FeuerTrutz Messe 2016.

2017

Wildeboer opens its first representative office in the Netherlands.

Dr. Jürgen Wildeboer, the third generation to lead the company, continues the path of growth, innovation and independence established by his father, Dipl.-Ing. Werner Wildeboer, who passed away in 2023. This path has positioned the company as one of the most significant players in its field.

The WBW GmbH originates from the same Wildeboer foundation in 1939 and is a medium-sized civil engineering company.

The main activity of WBW GmbH is the construction and maintenance of supply networks in North-West Germany. WBW has more than 100 employees.
