Building information modelling, or BIM, is the future of construction. A digital twin allows you to simulate the building in advance and prevent collisions with other contractors. With the rapid spread of digital planning for constructions projects, the demands for the provision of manufacturer-specific product information are also growing.

Wildeboer Bauteile GmbH, manufacturer of innovative solutions for the fields of fire protection & smoke extraction, noise protection, air distribution and building control systems, provides support for interdisciplinary, computer-based planning of construction products with the new Wildeboer BIM Converter and component browser which is integrated at liNear. Products from Wildeboer can be selected directly and implemented in the planning software in full detail. The process makes use of comprehensive VDI3805 databases from Wildeboer Bauteile GmbH. All the components have dynamic calculation data. Pressure drops and sound power levels react actively to changes in the duct network, as long as the planning software supports the function [1]. This way, the performance data for the current operating point is taken into account at all times whilst making calculations in the planning software.

Quick and complete product selection

The Wildeboer BIM Converter can be used to select all variants of the included products directly. Thus, the long texts and order codes can be generated directly in the BIM Converter in order to produce a quotation or a bill of qualities, or for order processing. This provides additional reliability for the processes for invitations to tender and ordering. Technical data, such as weights and dimensions, are output in accordance with the selected variant. To check the items of performance data in the operating point quickly, they can also be calculated directly with the Wildeboer BIM converter. And: Detailed 2D and 3D files in DWG and DXF format can be exported for further use using any given CAD software.
