Wildeboer takes second place at the 2026 FeuerTrutz Award

Our installation solution for FR90/FK90 fire dampers in solid timber structures won an award at the 2026 FeuerTrutz Awards in the ‘Sustainable Fire Protection Solutions’ category.

Flexible installation, reliable performance and a solution that adapts to a variety of structural conditions: the innovative installation solution for the FK90 and FR90 fire dampers in solid wood structures took second place in the “Sustainable Fire Protection Solutions” category at the 2026 FeuerTrutz Award.

A proven solution for sustainable timber construction

Solid timber structures place particular demands on preventive fire protection. In addition to certified safety, there is a need above all for solutions that can be reliably planned and flexibly implemented on site.

This is precisely where Wildeboer’s FK90 and FR90 fire dampers come into their own. They offer a reliable and flexible solution for installation in solid timber structures and adapt perfectly to a wide range of structural conditions. In combination with the Wildeboer ER8 and RH installation frames, installation gaps of up to 45 mm can be securely sealed with approved fire-retardant foam.

This facilitates on-site adjustments and enables even more flexible installation on the building site. Particularly in modern timber construction, this solution thus offers a significant advantage where certified fire protection and practical installation must go hand in hand.

At the FeuerTrutz Award 2026, the installation scenario “FR90/FK90 fire damper in solid timber constructions with installation frames and fire-retardant foam” was awarded 2nd place in the “Sustainable Fire Protection Solutions” category. This ranking underscores the relevance of practical fire protection solutions for sustainable timber construction.

At FeuerTrutz on 24 and 25 June 2026 at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre, we will once again be presenting a wide selection from our fire protection portfolio at our stand in Hall 4A, Stand 407. Further information on our exhibition presence can be found in the news article on FeuerTrutz 2026.
