Simple wet installation in metal stud walls using mortar

Wildeboer is expanding the range of applications for the FK90K fire damper in metal stud walls: in addition to the existing dry installation method, wet installation using mortar is now also possible. This new installation option offers greater flexibility in planning and fitting.

Until now, the FK90K could only be installed in metal stud walls using the dry installation method. With this extension to the range of applications, a further installation option has been added: the fire damper can now also be installed in metal stud walls using the wet installation method with mortar. This additional option makes it possible to seal larger gaps with mortar.

Consequently, both dry and wet installation methods are now available for fitting the FK90K into metal stud walls.

Compact fire damper for confined installation spaces

The FK90K is characterised by its very short overall length and is particularly suitable for confined installation spaces. Despite its compact design, it features a large free cross-section. This enables high volume flow rates with low pressure losses and correspondingly low sound power levels.

The FK90K is maintenance-free by design and, with its calcium silicate damper blade and other galvanised or, optionally, epoxy-coated steel components, is corrosion-resistant.

The range of installation options for the FK90K is complemented by the variant for wet installation in metal stud walls.
