The joy was not only felt by the representatives, but also by the beneficiaries, young and old, who benefit from the various projects supported by these organisations. One notable example is the funding for the development of a Snoezel room at the Lern- und Förderzentrum am Deich. This sensory room is a tremendous experience, especially for the children in our care who have severe multiple disabilities. They really enjoy this enriching space, as the association's administrative manager pointed out.
The other beneficiaries, which include various charities and institutions, share the same commitment to giving back. Their efforts revolve around providing support and assistance to people suffering from serious illnesses and disabilities. In addition to the Learning and Support Centre at the Deich, the list of recipients includes the Parents' Association for Children with Cancer and their Families in East Frisia and the Surrounding Area, Herzkinder Ostfriesland, the Leer Hospice Initiative, the Leer District and Local Child Protection Association, Leukin, sternsnuup and wünschdirwas.
Despite the ongoing challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic, these donations had to be presented in person, much to the chagrin of all involved. However, this did not dampen the spirit of the occasion. Each of the organisations' representatives was visibly grateful for the support and recognition of their largely voluntary efforts. In telephone conversations and email exchanges, they emphasised the vital role they play in society, especially in the current circumstances, in providing assistance to those in need.
On behalf of the entire Wildeboer organisation, we would like to express our sincere appreciation for this unwavering commitment and our gratitude to all the dedicated volunteers who tirelessly continue their valuable work under challenging conditions.
