Just in time of the 150th anniversary the modernisation work of the tradition-rich shopping mall in Helsinki was finished. The biggest shopping mall in Scandinavia and the sixth largest in Europe is now equipped with more than 10000 m² additional sales floor (altogether 50000 m²). The costs of the four-year reconstruction work amounted to 125 million Euro. The renovation of the Stockmann shopping center is one of the biggest projects for fire protection products in Finland until now.
In cooperation with our Finnish sales partner Fläkt Woods Oy several FK90 Fire Dampers of Series FK92 were installed. This fire damper is tested according to EN 1366-2 and hence fulfils the requirements for the approval in Finland. With VTT-RTH-00102-10, the FK90 Fire Damper of Series FK92 holds a Finnish approval certificate of VTT, the local admission office.
A further product of Wildeboer Bauteile GmbH, the EK90 Smoke Damper, was also installed in Stockmann shopping center. The EK90 can be used as smoke damper as well as "combination damper" with additional ventilation function. For use in Finland the German approval applied.
