Multiple installation and new mounting options for the EKM90

Compact solutions for high air flow rates and existing wall openings

The installation options for the EKM90 smoke extraction damper have been expanded: the installation of up to four dampers in a single unit, fitting to solid walls and the direct fitting of protective grilles provide additional options to meet a range of structural requirements.

Multiple installation for high flow rates

Where very high air flow rates or particularly large areas are required for smoke extraction, it is now possible to combine several EKM90 units in a compact configuration. They can be installed without any gap between the individual smoke extraction dampers.

Up to four EKM90 units can be arranged in various configurations:

square,
side by side in a horizontal row,
one above the other in a vertical row.

This allows the layout of the components to be planned to suit the spatial conditions and requirements.

Option to install on solid walls

The EKM90 can be installed not only in solid walls, metal stud walls, shaft walls and solid ceilings, but can now also be fitted to solid walls.

In this case, the smoke extraction damper is mounted in front of an opening in a solid wall. This additional installation option provides a solution if the existing installation opening is too small or if an existing wall opening is to be utilised.

Solutions with directly fitted protective grilles

In addition, protective grilles can be fitted directly to the EKM90. This makes it possible to achieve a flush-mounted design.

As well as the protective grilles available from Wildeboer, it is also possible to fit grilles supplied by the client.
