TS18 TopSchott
The TopSchott TS18 serves as a fire and smoke barrier and is approved for use in ventilation systems in accordance with DIN 18017-3. Bathrooms, toilet rooms, storage rooms, and kitchens (except commercial kitchens) as well as exhaust air ducts from range hoods on all floors, including basements, may be connected to the exhaust and supply air systems.

The maintenance-free TopSchott TS18 shut-off device serves as a fire and smoke shut-off device in ventilation systems in accordance with DIN 18017-3.
It is designed for installation in individual ventilation systems or central ventilation systems in accordance with DIN 18017-3.
TopSchott TS18 design
TopSchott TS18 consists of a metal housing with encapsulated, joint- and hinge-free shut-off elements and a tubular thermal release device.
All safety-relevant metal parts are powder-coated with epoxy resin on the inside and outside, thus ensuring comprehensive corrosion protection.
Intumescent material
The pressure-resistant seal that prevents the spread of fire is produced using the specially developed intumescent material WINTU 9.8.
Building authority approval TopSchott TS18
Bathrooms, toilet rooms, and residential kitchens (excluding commercial kitchens) on all floors, including in the basement, may be connected to the ventilation and supply air systems. The general type approval Z41.3-556 also permits the connection of residential storage rooms to ventilation and supply air systems as well as exhaust air ducts from range hoods.
Furthermore, when installed in sheet steel main pipes, two horizontal offsets of up to 6 m in length are permitted within a single unit of use if TS18 TopSchotts are installed in the floor slabs.
