VKup volume flow controller
Electronic VKup volume flow controllers are used to regulate variable and constant volume flows. Their drive selection allows control via different bus protocols such as MP-Bus, KNX, Modbus, and BACnet. They offer a wide range of installation options, are maintenance-free, operate in any position, and enable system operation with very low pressure losses.

Product details
Electronic volume flow controllers VKup ensure reliable control of variable and constant volume flows. They are maintenance-free and can be installed in any position.
The VKup volume flow controllers have a particularly flow-optimized casing geometry, which allows the lowest possible pressure losses to be achieved. The casing of the VKup electronic volume flow controller is made of galvanized sheet steel.
The blades for volume flow control are centrally mounted and equipped with a seal. The bearing axes are made of stainless steel and are guided in special plastic bearing bushes.
The extensive size range and elliptical blades of VKup volume flow controllers offer optimum adaptation to the ventilation ducts, coupled with the best control results and minimal flow noise.
Control principle of VKup volume flow controllers
The volume flow is controlled via the differential pressure. This differential pressure is measured by means of a measuring cross and a sensor integrated in the actuator.
The Vkup volume flow controllers enable very high accuracy with a deviation of ± 5 % to ± 20 % from the actual volume flow. The volume flows are controlled accordingly across the entire pressure range from 5 Pa to 1000 Pa.
Leak tightness classes
According to DIN EN 1751, the casing has leak tightness class C, and the leakage through the closed damper blade has class 4. The controller is therefore suitable for shutting off the air duct very reliably with a high degree of tightness.
Actuators Volume flow controllers VKup
Four 24 V AC/DC motors are available:
- The AN actuator works exclusively with analog control.
- The MP actuator can be controlled via MP-Bus® or analog and offers a setting option via smartphone using an NFC interface.
- The KNX actuator works exclusively in KNX bus operation.
- The MOD actuator can be controlled via BACnet, Modbus, MP-Bus or analog.
Operation modes
Analog controllable actuators for the VKup volume flow controller enable the following operating modes:
- Constant
- Variable 0 – 10 V, 2 – 10 V and adjustable between 0 V and 10 V
- 3-stage
- Overrides, parallel operation and sequential circuits are possible.
Factory and user settings
The volume flow controller can be ordered with factory settings. User modifications can be made using a setting device, in combination with a setting device and a PC, or via the integrated NFC interface with a smartphone.
Options
- Acoustic insulation with sheet metal jacket, factory-mounted for thermal insulation and reduction of external sound radiation
- Factory presetting
- SKB-V sound attenuator (length 1500 mm) for reduction of flow noise in the ventilation duct
