VRup volume flow controller
Volume flow controllers & volume flow limiter

VRup volume flow controller

VRup electronic volume flow controllers are suitable for controlling variable and constant volume flows. Their drive selection allows control via different bus protocols such as MP-Bus, KNX, Modbus, and BACnet. They are maintenance-free, operate in any position, and enable lowest pressure losses during operation.

Product details

Electronic volume flow controllers VRup are suitable for controlling variable and constant volume flows as part of the control of supply and exhaust air in an air handling system. They are maintenance-free and operate independently of their position. In addition to analog control, the drive selection allows communication via different bus protocols. The casing of the VRup volume flow controller is made of galvanized sheet steel. The bearing shafts are made of stainless steel and are guided in special bearing bushes.

Control principle of the VRup volume flow controller

The volume flow is controlled via the differential pressure. This differential pressure is measured by means of a measuring cross and a sensor integrated in the actuator.

The VRup volume flow controllers enable high accuracy with only approx. ± 5 % to ± 20 % deviation from the actual volume flow.

Leak tightness classes

The damper blade for volume flow control is centrally mounted and equipped with a circumferential seal. According to DIN EN 1751, the casing has leak tightness class C, and the damper blade, depending on size, has a damper blade leakage of class 3 or 4.

Actuators

Five 24 V AC/DC actuators are available:

  • The AN motor operates exclusively with analog control.
  • The MP motor can be controlled via MP-Bus® or analog and offers a setting option via smartphone using an NFC interface.
  • The KNX motor operates exclusively in KNX bus mode.
  • The MOD motor can be controlled via BACnet, Modbus, MP-Bus, or analog.

Operation modes Volume flow controller VRup

  • Constant
  • Variable 0 – 10 V, 2 – 10 V and adjustable
  • 3-stage
  • Overrides, parallel operation and sequential circuits are possible.

Product markings

VRup electronic volume flow controllers have a hygiene certificate from an independent testing institute. An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is also available.

Options

The volume flow controller can be ordered with factory settings. On-site changes can be made using an adjustment device, in combination with a PC, or via the integrated NFC interface with a smartphone.
