KS2-MR-01 motor and smoke detector module

The KS2-MR-01 motor and smoke detector module of the KS2 compact control system simplifies the connection, monitoring, and control of up to two fire dampers, multileaf dampers, or smoke protection dampers with 230 V AC or 24 V AC/DC spring return actuators and integrated limit switches. Up to two smoke detectors or smoke alarms for ventilation ducts can also be integrated.

  • Limit switch monitoring with 24 V DC galvanically isolated
  • Connection, monitoring, and control of up to two smoke detectors or smoke alarms for ventilation ducts

Product details

The KS2-MR-01 motor and smoke detector module for the KS2 compact control unit is used to connect and monitor up to two fire dampers, multileaf dampers or smoke protection dampers with 230V AC or 24V AC/DC spring return actuators and integrated limit switches and up to two smoke detectors or smoke alarms for ventilation ducts.

As part of the overall Wildeboer-Net system, the KS2 compact control unit simplifies the control and monitoring of fire protection and ventilation components in buildings.

Automatic functional tests

Motor and smoke detector modules monitor the operation of fire dampers, for example, by checking their functionality through automatic functional tests.

The dampers are completely closed and completely reopened. Motor running times are measured and fail-safely logged, and changes are detected. All inputs and outputs of the motor and smoke detector module of the KS2 compact control unit can be integrated into calendar controls.

This allows the functional tests to be automated at defined times or at fixed intervals. Functional tests on site can thus be replaced, saving costs. An exception to this rule applies to tests in accordance with state testing regulations.

Trigger groups

In order to ensure the internal compartmentalization of a building in the event of a fire, additional fire dampers must often be closed when a fire damper or smoke detector is triggered. Trigger groups are formed for this purpose.

The inputs and outputs of the KS2-MR-01 module can be very conveniently integrated into trigger groups. The control scenarios required for internal compartmentalization to keep smoke out, as prescribed by building regulations, can thus be parameterized quickly and flexibly.

Optional accessories

KS2-CON-01 Top-hat rail connector

Two top-hat rail connectors connect the peripheral bus of the modules to each other if they are installed on different DIN top-hat rails. The two top-hat rail connectors are connected by using a pre-assembled P-Net cable.
